This is a common problem amongst restaurants. It would be a better practice to ask if a booth (or half table/half booth) is acceptable prior to seating if a table is requested. A simple question by the host/hostess may save a lot of issues with guests (like me) and would have given us a more pleasurable meal.July 09, 2016
